Always wanted to try the pottery wheel but don’t have the time for a 5-week class? This workshop is made for you!
Join us for a fun, hands-on 2-day wheel throwing workshop where you’ll learn the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel and create your own functional pieces all in one weekend!
On Friday evening, you’ll spend four hours at the wheel learning how to center clay, open and pull your walls, and shape your pieces. You’ll have the opportunity to throw up to four pieces total, two cylinders and two bowls. Please eat a snack before coming or bring one with you, we will be spending the full 4 hours at the wheel with only stretch breaks in-between cylinders and bowls.
Then, on Saturday morning, you’ll return to trim your pieces, refine their shape, and learn how to attach handles. We’ll provide the coffee.
Once your pottery has been fired, you’ll come back on Saturday, November 7 for a fun glazing session where you’ll choose your glaze colors and add the finishing touches to your handmade creations.
