Over five weeks, you'll refine your technique, work with larger amounts of clay, and learn more advanced forms while building confidence and consistency on the wheel.
Week 1: Throwing taller cylinders
Week 2: Larger bowls
Week 3: Double-walled forms
Week 4: Lidded forms
Week 5: Glazing your finished pieces
All supplies (clay, glazes, and firings)
Hands-on instruction throughout the course
One additional open studio days each week to trim and refine your pieces as well as work on weekly skills (additional clay can be purchased from the studio at $25/25lb bag & $5 charge per additional piece fired beyond 8)
Students will create approximately 6–8 pieces over the duration of the class and may keep up to 2 finished pieces from each class, for a maximum of 8 finished pieces.
Students must have completed our Beginner Pottery Wheel Class or be able to confidently center 2 lbs. of clay to enroll.
All projects must be picked up within 30 days of the final class. Any unclaimed work after that time will be donated.
