During our homeschool class, students will meet twice each month to explore the exciting world of hand-built pottery. Through fun, hands-on projects, students will learn the three primary hand-building techniques, pinch, coil, and slab construction, while also exploring texture, sculpting, surface design, and glazing.
Each class is designed to build creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills as students create both functional and decorative ceramic pieces. Projects are age-appropriate and encourage artistic expression while developing fine motor skills, patience, and craftsmanship.
No prior pottery experience is necessary.
All clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings are included. By the end of the semester, students will have a collection of unique, handmade ceramic artwork and a strong foundation in hand-building techniques.

One make-up class will be offered at the end of the semester to allow students to finish any incomplete work. Please note that this session is not intended for recreating projects missed due to absences. Because each class focuses on a different project and our schedule is limited, we are unable to offer make-up instruction for projects missed during the semester.
POTTERY DISCLAIMER
Pottery is a fun but unpredictable process. While we handle every piece with great care, cracking, warping, glaze imperfections, or breakage can sometimes occur during drying, firing, or glazing for reasons beyond our control. Although we do our best to prevent this, we cannot guarantee the outcome of every piece and are unable to offer refunds or replacements for items damaged during the pottery process.
PROJECT PICKUP
Please note that while we try to have projects returned as quickly as possible throughout the semester, it can take up to 3 weeks for them to be fully completed.
