This four week class introduces students to the fundamentals of wheel throwing in a structured, hands-on environment. Students will learn the basic techniques of centering clay, opening, pulling walls, and shaping simple forms while developing confidence and familiarity with the pottery wheel.
Week 1: Fundamentals of throwing
Week 2: Cylinders
Week 3: Bowls
Week 4: Glazing
During the final class, students will glaze their completed pieces using a selection of studio glazes.
Projects will be available for pickup the following week and must be picked up within 30 days or they are subject to donation.
All materials, tools, clay, glazes, and kiln firings are included. No prior pottery experience is required.
Please ensure that your child can attend all classes, we do not offer make up sessions. Refunds not provide once registration is made due to the limited availablility of seats
