AGES 12 - 16

DATES:

  • Aug 6th & 20th

  • Sep 10th & 24th

  • Oct 15th & 29th

  • Nov 5th & 19th

Join us this fall for a hands-on, creative journey through the world of clay in our 8-week Homeschool Pottery Class! Designed for homeschool students of all skill levels, this engaging course introduces foundational pottery techniques in a fun, supportive environment.

Over the 8 weeks, students will explore the core methods of hand-building with clay:

  • Pinch Pots – Learn how to shape clay using just your fingers to create small bowls and simple forms.

  • Coil Building – Discover how to roll and layer coils of clay to build vessels, animals, or abstract shapes.

  • Slab Construction – Practice cutting clay slabs to assemble boxes, tiles, and other structured pieces.

Every fourth week (Weeks 4 and 8), students will enjoy a Create-Your-Own Project day — a chance to take what they’ve learned and build a piece entirely from their own imagination. Whether it’s a whimsical sculpture, a useful household item, or something completely out of the box, these free project days encourage independent thinking and creative expression.

All materials are provided. Pieces will be glazed and fired so students can take home finished, lasting works of art.

**Please note: The older student group will be working on slightly larger and more intricate projects. Expectations for their craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail will be higher compared to the younger students, with an emphasis on refining technique and pushing their skills further.

Refunds will not be issued after registration
